How I spent the 2017 eclipse:

Building box viewer 1.0.

Cutting off old overexposed film leader — two rolls had gone liquid (eew).

Severo and I look through multi-layers of the film leader.

It was partly cloudy at first, I was able to take some good photos.

Severo experiments with box viewer 2.0

By our 62% maximum totality, the sky had cleared so we only used the box viewers.
It took us a while to figure out the box plus glasses positioning.

Here’s box viewer 1.0 that I had misplaced during most of the event.
